ŠumArt is a non-governmental, non-profit, independent, non-partisan, flexible group and free association to establish a regional forum for exchanging ideas and experiences of young art historians, social sciences and visual artists to encourage more intensive involvement of citizens, NGOs, groups and free coalitions in the field of culture and arts.

The association strives to achieve the following goals:

  1. Establishment of a regional forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences of young art historians, students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and visual artists;
  2. establish a dialogue between artists and art theorists and critical discussions about the possibilities and challenges of the era, as well as re-examination of new approaches and views of art theory and practice;
  3. strengthening the initiatives of young people, bearers of new aspirations, with an emphasis on their mutual regional and international connection;
  4. Affirmation of the idea of culture as a public good which is one of the most important segments for a better quality of everyday life and work.
