René Descartes College was established in 2000 and is based within the French Institute of Athens. It is the exclusive Greek representative of the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (CNAM), one of the largest public higher education institutions in France and Europe.
With more than 25 years of experience in continuing education, the College offers internationally recognized Master’s programs, specialized training courses, certificates, and professional seminars aligned with the evolving needs of the labor market.

What inspired the creation of René Descartes College?
The College was founded by Charalampos Velissaris, a graduate of CNAM in France. Inspired by the rigor, openness, and human-centered values of the French educational system, he envisioned bringing this philosophy to Greece.
