Interview with N-CODE: The Latest Greek Film and TV Production Company to Join EUcalls

1. Please give us a few information about your organization

N-CODE is a film and TV production company specializing on:

  • TV documentaries and series
  • 3D stereoscopic films
  • 3D Animation
  • AR/VR (Augmented, Virtual and Mixed Reality)
  • SFX, Motion graphics
  • Original Symphonic Music for films and TV
  • Video & Audio post-production
  • Sound Mixing
  • TV Commercial spots

The founding members of ICON4D / N-CODE, Dimitrios Mourtzopoulos & Jánnos Eolou, have been active for more than 20 years in writing scripts, directing films, composing original music, working in all areas of film production, emphasizing in high-end post-production (animation, editing, coloring, SFX, sound mixing, original music). They have created more than 17 3D stereoscopic films, more than 160 TV episodes, worked in the post-production of more than 200 films, and produced more than 1000 TVC films. They have also created movies for documentaries, special installations of multiple screens, domes, animation films, company profiles, etc.

2. What inspired you to create your organization?

We are creative minds with high technical skills. So, in our profession, we combine the two worlds.

3. What is your organization’s impact on society?

We are an audiovisual production company emphasizing cultural projects, historical documentaries dealing with issues of society, history, social identity, and more.

4. What are some of your most important collaborations on EU Projects?

We have been involved in many EU projects via other organizations, not this company. The founders have been part of the FIWARE project, Culture, Media projects, etc. Unfortunately, N-CODE participated only in Greek National funded projects.

5. What is something your organization achieved that you are proud of?

  • The creation of 180 episodes of historical and religious docu-series for ERT
  • The creation (it is still a work in progress) of the VR project curve.gr that revives the historical events of the torpedoing of the Turkish Ship Fethi Bulend in the Thessaloniki port in 1912
  • 17 stereoscopic films (3D stereo) we have created for numerous Museums
  • Film Music Scores for several feature and documentary films

Creative Projects combining storytelling, history, technology, IT, AR/VR, cinema, TV

7. What is it that you are looking for from an EU partner?

Competence in EU proposals, likemindedness, interest in storytelling, content creation in conjunction with RnD Technology
