Interview with the European Women Association

1. Give us a few information about your organization

The European Women Association focuses on creating opportunities for women worldwide, accessing new networks, knowledge and partnerships.

We believe the empathic, holistic, collaborative nature of (female) leadership is of tremendous value in our world. With our mentors, our online accelerators and our monthly matchmaking sessions, we aim to inspire, connect and educate women so that women can create a positive impact worldwide.

By creating a global platform of like-minded women we aim to build a strong and safe foundation for women-led projects and initiatives.

So we have united professional women and over 35 professional European organizations on one platform. Together we create a powerful global safe community to support women in the efforts to acquire Funding, Mentors and relevant Networks.

2. What inspired you to create your organization?

My own frustration and challenges I was facing as a businesswoman.

Finding the right information, a support group of like-minded, action-oriented people, was often a challenge.

There is so much information out there. So many networking groups. But all so fragmented. And so is the information on how to grow and scale your business.

I needed a safe space where I could turn to when I was faced with professional or personal challenges. I could get support from a mentor, an investor or just a friend who has been through the same and could save me time and money by showing me the shortcuts.

3. What is your field of expertise?

My background is in Investment Banking, but I focused on the Startup ecosystem in the last years, especially in women-led projects. I’m quite good at the Strategic Business development approach. And mentored women on their Marketing and Sales strategies.

In 2014, we successfully launched a Business academy for women, where we mentored over 370 business owners on how to start and grow their business based on their passion.

The sum-up of our training programs was celebrated during our yearly wholistic business retreats. Together with some amazing global experts, we would develop a life strategy and look at a business from a holistic point of view. And learn more about mindset, psychology, health and relationships. I really believe that a conscious entrepreneur can make a difference in our society.

4. What is your organization’s impact on society?

As mentioned above, our organization supports women in mentoring, funding, personal and professional development. By empowering women to be economically independent, we strongly contribute to communities. Women invest over 90% of their incomes back to their families, education and social impact projects. Step by step, I trust, we come closer to an equal balanced society.

5. What are some of your most important collaborations on EU Projects?

We haven’t applied yet to EU projects. But we plan to this year.

6. What is something your organization achieved that you are proud of?

The most beautiful achievement happened during the pandemic. When we had to pivot to the online business model. We asked our community how we can serve them in these challenging circumstances when everyone was locked up in their bubbles. And women asked for real connections, trusted networking opportunities and international contacts to grow their business. So within 3 months, We have created an Ecosystem and united over 500 business owners, connecting them to more business opportunities.

7. What kinds of projects do you want to work on?

We would like to roll out more mentorship projects, digitalization training for SME’s and leadership training so that we can see more talented women rise!

8. What is it that you are looking for from an EU partner?

Trust, experience in EU projects and a long term partnership.

9. How did you get to know the EUcalls platform?

Through our partners in the European Women Association Platform.

10. Why did you choose the EUcalls platform to assist you with your work?

I hope this platform will create long term partnerships with other mission-driven organizations in Europe and beyond.

11. Is there something else you wish to add regarding your organization?

Not at this moment.

12. Are you satisfied with the EUcalls services?

Yes.

13. Would you recommend Eucalls to others?

Yes, definitely.
