The direct connection between EUcalls platform for EU funding and collaboration, and Open Cosmos' triple support throughout the Horizon Europe application process, will empower European researchers with a quadruplet of support to increase success in this highly competitive and demanding funding programme for research and innovation.

Horizon Europe is the key funding programme for R&I in Europe, with a budget of €95.5 billion for 2021-2027. This programme facilitates collaboration and strengthens the impact of research and innovation to tackle global challenges. Applications to this programme are highly competitive, require expertise and involve a demanding application process.
The integration of EUcalls and Open Cosmos services will help European researchers increase the success rate of their applications, will make the whole process more accessible while allowing researchers to focus on what they do best.

1. Give us some information about your organization
Funding Expert Academy has been launched to fill out a missing gap on transforming organizations and their individuals into European Funding Experts and specifically doing that in quick, entertaining, and pleasant ways.
2. What inspired you to create your organization?
We were inspired by the fact that there were NOT courses, training, and coaching support schemas that could actually transform any individual respectively of their expertise into funding experts. We do that by applying the best pedagogical practices, top-notch content, the latest ICT training tools, and of course, the best individual in this area as trainer and training coordinator, Nikolaos Floratos. Nikolaos has 24 years experience in European Funding, 18 years as an EC expert and evaluator on behalf of the European Commission, 12 years experience as a trainer. It is currently a Ph.D. holder on student engagement and online courses.
3. What is your field of expertise?
We consider ourselves the best trainers in taking complex concepts and decomposing them into easy-to-understand and applying step-by-step recipes. Anyone can develop winning grant applications with the proper training and coaching support.
4. What is your organization’s impact on society?
We believe in the transformation of individuals into better persons and better professionals via training.
5. What is something your organization achieved that you are proud of?
Lately, we have developed the OpenCosmos platform that is a virtual research funding support platform on autopilot. OpenCosmos is a membership platform that gives unlimited access to all individuals from a member organization to have unlimited access to:
- all our courses (f2f, live via zoom or follow at your own pace based on live recordings,
- to attend live our monthly Q&A session and ask any questions or have any issue addressed live with our expert,
